  • UN launches plan against human trafficking
      The United Nations today launched a global action plan to combat human trafficking, with senior UN officials urging that governments worldwide take coordinated and consistent measures to try to defeat the scourge...the only way to succeed is to strengthen partnerships between States, organizations and programmes, such as the UN Global Initiative to Fight Human Trafficking, known as UN.GIFT since its creation in early 2007.

        In carrying out its mission, UN.GIFT aims, amongst other aspirations, to increase knowledge and awareness on human trafficking. As part of achieving this goal, UN.GIFT has created the UN.GIFT.HUB, an innovative and comprehensive virtual knowledge hub.
