Competition for Swiss students to write on human trafficking and implications for business
( End Human Trafficking Now) - A competition has been launched for Swiss university students to submit papers on human trafficking and its implication on businesses. The competition is being sponsored by ManpowerGroup and Cercle HEC, End Human Trafficking Now (EHTN) and HEC Geneva.
The effects of human trafficking reach all areas of the world, Switzerland included. Switzerland is primarily a destination country for trafficked women and children. Last year the Swiss Federal police estimated there were between 1,500 and 3,000 potential victims of trafficking residing in Switzerland.
In order to be eligible for the competition one must be enrolled in a Swiss university for the 2011-2012 academic year. Papers should be submitted in French or English and can be written by one or more students.
Papers will be reviewed by a Jury and the best three will be selected. The winners will receive an award, including a certificate and monetary sum of 2'500, 1'500 and 1'000, respectively. In addition, the winners' abstracts will be published online by the sponsors of the competition and the press.
