"Not My Life" on Public Television

For the first time on public television CNN International will be broadcasting the documentary, "Not My Life," which examines the multi-billion dollar industry of trafficking in beings. The documentary will be aired in two parts; Part One will be aired on Saturday, 22 October at 21:00 Eastern Standard Time and Part Two wil be aired on Sunday, 23 October at 21:00 Eastern Standard Time.

 

"Not My Life" is a film that goes around the five continents to unveil the many faces of trafficking and tell their haunting stories. The feature-length documentary film was directed, written, and produced by Robert Billheimer.  Supported by the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC), United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF) and the United Nations Global Initiative to Fight Human Trafficking (UN.GIFT), the documentary explores the issue of trafficking from different perspectives, from forced labour in Africa to sexual trafficking in the United States and Southeast Asia.
