Webinar, "Best Practices to Combat Child Trafficking"
On November 15 the Harvard Kennedy School's Program on Human Trafficking and Modern Slavery, United Nations Global Initiative to Fight Human Trafficking (UN.GIFT), and the Harvard Kennedy School's Ash Center for Democratic Governance and Innovation will be hosting a webinar on trafficking, "Best Practices to Combat Child Trafficking."
This online conference will bring together a panel of experts from academia, policy, and non-governmental organizations and will serve as an opportunity to share perspectives on best practices to combat the trafficking of children. Ms. Susu Thatun, a Child Protection Specialist from UNICEF, will contribute UNICEF's perspective on service provision to children. Mr. Christopher Davis, International Campaigns Director of The Body Shop, will share insights into the role of private companies in combating human trafficking. Lastly, Mr. Hans van de Glind, Senior Specialist and Focal Point for Child Trafficking at ILO, will contribute ILO's labour perspective.
Following the panel presentations will be a Q&A discussion with the online audience moderated by Dr. Timothy McCarthy, Harvard Kennedy School. The webinar will take place at 9:00 AM EST (15:00 Vienna Time).
