European Parliamentary Hearing: Access to Justice Ensuring Compensation for Trafficked Persons
Wednesday 28 November 2012 12:30-14:30
European Parliament Room ASP 1E2
Compensation for trafficked persons is crucial in the fight against human trafficking - not only as an instrument of restorative justice and prevention of re-trafficking, but also as recognition by the states of the violation of their rights and the damages they have suffered. Despite international and national legislation, in practice for victims of human trafficking, this is an ineffective right. COMP.ACT raises awareness and builds capacity for practitioners to guarantee access to justice for trafficked persons.
