Expert Group Initiatives

Under the UN.GIFT, various Expert Group Initiatives (EGIs) have started with the aim of developing practical tools (products) that will assist governments, the civil society, the business community, the international community and other relevant actors in preventing trafficking, protecting victims and bringing criminals to justice.

The EGIs are steered and implemented by the international organizations members of the UN.GIFT Steering Committee. The material produced through the EGIs will provide tools in support of such activities as needs assessments, capacity building, data collection, victim support and protection.

All tools and manuals will be available by March 2009.
