Brazil supports the fight against human trafficking
23 February 2009 - Working together across borders is crucial to succeed in the fight against human trafficking. Brazil showed support by holding a very successful event on the occasion of the launch of the
Global Report on Trafficking in Persons. International organizations, civil society and the media contributed to the cause by attending the launch in large number at the Ministry of Justice in Brasilia.
The divulging of the report also aimed at raising more awareness on the topic and to help disseminate information on United Nations and Brazilian Government initiatives and campaigns against human trafficking.
The Global Report on Trafficking in Persons was well received and demonstrated once again Brazil's efforts in tackling this issue. For more information click here
