Funds raised from the hand cream sales will be donated directly to ECPAT Austria to combat child exploitation.

UN.GIFT, which is facilitating this initiative, is proud to support this hand cream which is a key part and symbol of the global campaign " Stop Sex Trafficking of Children and  Young People". The campaign aims to inspire long term change and to stop the unimaginable abuse which affects an estimated 1.8 million children and young people each year.

"Once a child has been trafficked, the child loses their protective environment and falls in the hands of those who will compromise their dignity, violate their rights and shatter their trust," said Carmen Madrian, Global Director of ECPAT. " Change is only possible when the world wakes up to the fact that trafficking and sexual exploitation of children is happening all around us," she added. Photo: Alma Winkler, PR for The Body Shop

The Body Shop hopes to make a real difference by raising awareness and inspiring those with decision-making power to effect change. The initiative provides opportunity to those who may otherwise not know how to help, to take action and purchase a product with social consciousness. The Body Shop hopes that the campaign will touch many people through its network across 64 countries, and shed light on the issue of children and youth trafficked for sex.
