Calls for nominations - Announcing the 2010 Freedom Awards

Free the Slaves20 October 2009 - Free the Slaves, an international NGO, with a mission to end slavery worldwide, is currently accepting nominations for their 2010 Freedom Awards. Do you have what it takes ? Do you help rescue slaves and reunite families, teach entire villages how to rid themselves of slavery forever, put traffickers behind bards and empower survivors to get back on their feet?  If so then it's you chance to enter the Freedom Awards.

The Freedom Awards celebrate the vision and courage of community-based organizations, survivors of slavery, individual leaders and young adult anti-slavery activists who are showing the way to a world without slavery. Free the Slaves

These awards are open to organizations and individuals who are working to eradicate human trafficking and modern-day slavery. The deadline for nominations is Monday, November 2, 2009. Nominations received after November 2 cannot be considered for the 2010 awards.

The awards will be given out during late 2010. Awardees will be flown to the USA for an inspirational evening that honors the vision and courage of communicators spreading the word about slavery.
