Oasis Youth Theatre performs anti-human trafficking play in London

23 June 2010.- When they are off the stage, they look and behave like other teenagers do. But once they are in character, the actors of the Oasis Youth Theater deliver moving performances about the drama of human trafficking.

One Million to STOP THE TRAFFICK by Mark Wheeller is a ground breaking play inspired in the global roots campaign STOP THE TRAFFIK. The actors, are part of Oasis Youth Theatre, from the Oasis Academy Lord's Hill.

Performing arts are a powerful way to raise awareness about the issue of human trafficking, as shown by Oasis Youth Theatre. The fabulous cast and a well written story compelled the London audience to get involved in the fight against human trafficking.

The play took almost two years of research and intensive preparations. But the efforts have paid off. Oasis Youth Theatre made it to the finals of the All English Theatre Festival, a country-wide prestigious competition for well established amateur theater groups.
